French Toast with bananas, maple syrup and leafy greens

Maple Cinnamon French Toast

MAPLE. CINNAMON. FRENCH. TOAST.

You knew this day would come. No one makes a maple cinnamon butter without hatching evil breakfast plans. I am going to do this a little differently than what you may be expecting... You already know how to make French toast, but not like this, you don't. We're going to start with a loaf of French-inspired white bread or challah (egg bread), yes, a whole loaf. Stand it on its end like a tower, now cut it in half diagonally (corner to corner) all the way down the loaf to make two long triangles.

Then, cut it into large segments about 4 inches thick. Make an egg wash with:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup Pro Tip: Use more yolks than whites.

Drop the glorious pyramid that surely the aliens built into your egg wash, flip it, swish it until fully saturated.

Preheat the oven (or air fryer if you have one). Into a piping hot pan, add:

  • 1 scoop of Butter Buddies Maple Cinnamon (and more with each flip as needed) with that toast. Fry all 5 sides until crispier than a potato chip.

Season with a little sea salt, and finish in the oven (or air fryer) for 3-4 minutes. Top it off with some Maple Cinnamon Butter, a couple of bananas 🍌 if you have them, and finish with way too much Canadian Maple Syrup.
